Recurring transactions
For regular income or bills, toggle Recurring when creating a transaction, then choose how it repeats. The common cadences — daily, weekly, every 2 weeks, monthly, yearly — are one tap. Pick Custom for anything else: every few weeks or months, specific weekdays, or the day of the month it lands on.
A monthly schedule can land on a set date (for example the 23rd) or on a weekday (for example the 4th Sunday). To keep it valid in every month, the set-date option tops out at the 28th, with a last day of the month choice for month-ends. The schedule follows the start date you choose, and a plain-language summary shows exactly what you set as you build it.
You can also decide when it ends: never, on a specific date, or after a set number of times. Recurring transactions are generated automatically and show up on your calendar in the Family Planner.
Categories
Transactions are organised into categories (Housing, Food, Transport, etc.) for budgeting and reporting. Each category has a colour and icon for easy visual identification.
